Heysen Trail, Deep Creek CP

A 3km natural surface trail to replace existing fall line trail that was heavily eroded.
The new trail is a classic contour trail, allowing a pleasurable, yet challenging hike, whilst taking many of the magnificent views of the coast and the diverse flora and fauna that the area has to offer.

The trail was challenging but rewarding to construct as it traversed through dense vegetation and through some steep terrain which required many stone walls and armouring.

DH1 and DH2, Shepherds Hill RP

Environmental and Trail Services Pty. Ltd. were invited to prepare a proposal to design and construct 2 new mountain bike specific trail in Shepherds Hill RP. The new alignments were designed to maximise the trail experience in a small amount of space and a limited amount of time. The trail alignments were designed to take in natural feature of the area such as rock reefs and scree slopes. A large components of the project was the removal of olives from the trail corridor which were either removed or poisoned using the frill and fill technique.

Mambray Creek, Class 2 Walking Trail, Mt. Remarkable NP 2012

Some unique challenges applicable to this project involved sourcing a suitable material to be used for capping the trail due to the remote location of the project.

This project also required our team to stay away from home for 6 weeks proving our ability to manage general logistics involved with working in remote areas including, food and drinking water, fuel for plant and equipment, tools for onsite repairs of equipment. This project was delivered within the specified time frame and was consistent with the program of works submitted.

Installation of seating and viewing areas constructed from site won stone. Converted redundant camping sites into meeting zones for trail users. Installation of trail heads and trail markers.
